A Railway Station

A railway station is an integral part of train communication system of a country. It is a place where the passengers can get down and get into a train to go to their respective destination.

There is a platform to take in and drop down passengers and goods. The building of a station is generally made of red bricks. One can see the green and red signal and a painted house of a station from a distance. The flagman moves about with red and green flags. There are room for station master and guards, ticket counter, the booking office for goods, restaurants, book stalls and separate waiting rooms for male and female passengers in a railway station. In a station there are hawkers and small shop keepers selling newspapers, magazines, boiled eggs, breads, bananas, tea, biscuits and so on. Generally it is crowded and dirty. When a train arrives, the whole station area turns into a noisy place but after the leaving of the train there is fewer crowds in the station. Thus a railway station then again becomes busy and calm. Certainly, a railway station is closely related to our tradition and plays an important role in our socio-economic developments.

একটি রেলস্টেশন একটি দেশের ট্রেন যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার একটি অবিচ্ছেদ্য অঙ্গ। এটি এমন এক জায়গা যেখানে যাত্রীরা নামতে এবং তাদের নিজ নিজ গন্তব্যে যাওয়ার জন্য ট্রেনে উঠতে পারেন। যাত্রী এবং পণ্য নেওয়ার এবং নেমে যাওয়ার জন্য একটি প্ল্যাটফর্ম রয়েছে। কোনও স্টেশনের বিল্ডিং সাধারণত লাল ইট দিয়ে তৈরি। দূর থেকে সবুজ এবং লাল সংকেত এবং একটি স্টেশনের আঁকা ঘর দেখতে পাওয়া যায়। ফ্ল্যাগম্যান লাল এবং সবুজ পতাকা নিয়ে চলাফেরা করে। রেলস্টেশনে স্টেশন মাস্টার এবং গার্ড, টিকিট কাউন্টার, পণ্য বুকিং অফিস, রেস্তোঁরা, বুক স্টল এবং পুরুষ ও মহিলা যাত্রীদের জন্য আলাদা ওয়েটিং রুম রয়েছে। একটি স্টেশনে হকার এবং ছোট দোকানপাটরা সংবাদপত্র, ম্যাগাজিন, সিদ্ধ ডিম, রুটি, কলা, চা, বিস্কুট ইত্যাদি বিক্রি করে থাকে। সাধারণত এটি ভিড় এবং নোংরা হয়। কোনও ট্রেন এলে পুরো স্টেশন অঞ্চলটি শোরগোলের জায়গায় পরিণত হয় তবে ট্রেন ছাড়ার পরে স্টেশনটিতে কম ভিড় থাকে। এইভাবে একটি রেল স্টেশন আবার ব্যস্ত এবং শান্ত হয়ে যায়। অবশ্যই, একটি রেলস্টেশন আমাদেরঐতিহ্যর সাথে ঘনিষ্ঠভাবে জড়িত এবং আমাদের আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নয়নে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে।
