Our Victory Day

Victory Day means the day of success that a nation has won in a battle against the oppressors. The 16th December is our victory day. It is a red-letter day in the history of Bangladesh.

On this day in 1971, we achieved victory from Pakistan. After the nine months of long struggle, the Pakistani armies were bound to leave our dear motherland on this day. This day has great importance because of many reasons. Now, Bangladesh is considered as an independent country in the world. Actually this day is a day of great achievement for us. Every year this day is observed with great solemnity and solidarity. The whole country wears a festive look. Our national flag is hoisted on the top of each institution, shop and shopping mall. Different sports and games are held throughout the country. Seminars, Meetings and cultural functions are held by various organizations. People go to the national memorial to show respect to the martyrs. The victory day symbolizes the triumph of justice over tyranny, of truth over falsehood. On this day, we take oath against any kind of injustice, tyranny and falsehood. However, it is a day of joy, hope and inspiration. The sacrifice of those martyrs is a great encouragement for us. Their memory moves us with patriot feeling and inspires us to stand for the interest and work hard for the welfare of the people of our country.

আমাদের বিজয় দিবস

বিজয় দিবস মানে সাফল্যের দিন যা কোনও দেশ অত্যাচারীদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধে জিতেছে। ১৬ ডিসেম্বর আমাদের বিজয় দিবস। এটি বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে একটি লাল-চিঠি দিবস। ১৯৭১ সালের এই দিনে আমরা পাকিস্তান থেকে বিজয় অর্জন করেছি। দীর্ঘ নয় মাস দীর্ঘ সংগ্রামের পরে, পাকিস্তানি সেনাবাহিনী এই দিনে আমাদের প্রিয় মাতৃভূমি ছাড়তে বাধ্য হয়েছিল। বিভিন্ন কারণে এই দিনটির অত্যন্ত গুরুত্ব রয়েছে। এখন, বাংলাদেশ বিশ্বে একটি স্বাধীন দেশ হিসাবে বিবেচিত হয়। আসলে এই দিনটি আমাদের জন্য বড় অর্জনের দিন। প্রতি বছর এই দিবসটি মহান নিষ্ঠারতা ও সংহতি দ্বারা পালন করা হয়। পুরো দেশটি একটি উত্সব বর্ণন পরেন। আমাদের জাতীয় পতাকা প্রতিটি প্রতিষ্ঠান, শপ এবং শপিংমলে শীর্ষে রয়েছে। সারা দেশে বিভিন্ন খেলাধুলা এবং গেমস অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বিভিন্ন সংস্থা সেমিনার, সভা এবং সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান পালন করে। মানুষ শহীদদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে জাতীয় স্মৃতিসৌধে যান। বিজয়ের দিনটি মিথ্যাচারের উপরে সত্যের অত্যাচারের বিরুদ্ধে ন্যায়বিচারের বিজয়ের প্রতীক। এই দিনটিতে আমরা যেকোন ধরনের অবিচার, স্বৈরাচার এবং মিথ্যাচারের বিরুদ্ধে শপথ করি। তবে এটি আনন্দের, আশা এবং অনুপ্রেরণার দিন। সেই শহীদের আত্মত্যাগ আমাদের জন্য এক বিরাট উত্সাহ তাদের স্মৃতি আমাদের দেশপ্রেমিক অনুভূতির সাথে প্রেরণা জোগায় এবং আমাদের দেশের আগ্রহের পক্ষে দাঁড়াতে এবং আমাদের দেশের মানুষের কল্যাণে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করার জন্য অনুপ্রাণিত করে।

***হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা একে অপরের সম্পদ অন্যায়ভাবে গ্রাস করো না। কেবলমাত্র তোমাদের পরস্পরের সম্মতিক্রমে যে ব্যবসা করা হয় তা বৈধ। আর তোমরা নিজেদের কাউকে হত্যা করো না। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ তা‘আলা তোমাদের প্রতি দয়ালু। (সূরা নিসা-২৯)
