The Internet

Internet is a worldwide spread computer network. It is also called a network of networks. The process of coordinating two or more computers with cable, modem, satellite etc. is called internet.

It is the greatest invention of mankind. Internet is useful for people of all ages. At present, it is the only means of exchanging data through computer networking. It works very easily and rapidly.  It has made it possible for people all over the world to bring the information and communication system within their palm. It plays an effective role in the field of trade and commerce. It also plays an important role in the field of education. Students and teachers can easily get necessary information through internet. Not only students and teachers but also businesspersons, economists, doctors, politicians and other professionals can be benefited by internet. Internet has some demerits too. Our young generation often wastes time while surfing through various websites on Internet. As a result, they become addicted to it. The use of internet in our country is very expensive. Our government should take necessary steps to manage easy access to internet for the people of Bangladesh.

ইন্টারনেট একটি বিশ্বব্যাপী ছড়িয়ে পড়া কম্পিউটার নেটওয়ার্ক। একে নেটওয়ার্কের একটি নেটওয়ার্কও বলা হয়। দুটি বা তার বেশি কম্পিউটারের কেবল, মডেম, স্যাটেলাইট ইত্যাদির সাথে সমন্বয় করার প্রক্রিয়াটিকে ইন্টারনেট বলা হয়। এটি মানবজাতির সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ আবিষ্কার। ইন্টারনেট সমস্ত বয়সের মানুষের জন্য দরকারী। বর্তমানে এটি কম্পিউটার নেটওয়ার্কিংয়ের মাধ্যমে ডেটা আদান-প্রদানের একমাত্র মাধ্যম। এটি খুব সহজে এবং দ্রুত কাজ করে। সারা বিশ্ব জুড়ে মানুষের পক্ষে তাদের খেজুরের মধ্যে তথ্য এবং যোগাযোগের ব্যবস্থা আনা সম্ভব করেছে। এটি বাণিজ্য ও বাণিজ্যের ক্ষেত্রে কার্যকর ভূমিকা পালন করে। এটি শিক্ষার ক্ষেত্রেও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে। শিক্ষার্থীরা এবং শিক্ষকরা সহজেই ইন্টারনেটের মাধ্যমে প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য পেতে পারেন। কেবল শিক্ষার্থী এবং শিক্ষকই নয় ব্যবসায়ীরা, অর্থনীতিবিদ, চিকিৎসক, রাজনীতিবিদ এবং অন্যান্য পেশাদাররাও ইন্টারনেটের মাধ্যমে উপকৃত হতে পারবেন। ইন্টারনেটেরও কিছু শালীনতা রয়েছে। আমাদের তরুণ প্রজন্ম প্রায়ই ইন্টারনেটে বিভিন্ন ওয়েবসাইটের মাধ্যমে সার্ফ করার সময় সময় নষ্ট করে। ফলস্বরূপ, তারা এতে আসক্ত হয়ে পড়ে। আমাদের দেশে ইন্টারনেটের ব্যবহার অত্যন্ত ব্যয়বহুল। আমাদের সরকারের উচিত বাংলাদেশের জনগণের জন্য সহজেই ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহারের ব্যবস্থা করার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা।

***হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা আল্লাহর উদ্দেশে ন্যায় সাক্ষ্যদানের ব্যাপারে অবিচল থাকবে এবং কোন সম্প্রদায়ের শত্রুতার কারণে কখনও ন্যায়বিচার পরিত্যাগ করো না। সুবিচার কর এটাই খোদাভীতির (তাকওয়ার) অধিক নিকটবর্তী। আল্লাহকে ভয় কর। তোমরা যা কর, নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সে বিষয়ে খুব জ্ঞাত (অবহিত) ।   (সূরা মায়েদা -৮)
