Students will write a comparative
analysis of the experience/unit 1 of their English and Science textbooks and their
key learning from these activities. In doing so -
Firstly, in practice sessions 1 and 2, students in the group will study and analyse the experience/unit 1 of their English and Science textbooks. During the activity, students will write down the similarities and differences between the experience/unit 1 of their English and Science textbooks.
List of similarities:
i) Both chapters contain attractive
and colorful illustrations
ii) Both chapters have individual
and group activities
iii) Both chapters have very
interesting tasks and activities
iv) Both chapters depict the
natural beauties of the earth
v) Both chapters show the relation
between natural environment and human beings.
List of dissimilarities:
i) There are 2 illustrations in the first chapter of the
English book. On the other hand the first chapter of science book has 10
illustrations.
ii) English book unit-1 is based on imagination but
science book unit 2 is practical and factual.
iii) The first chapter of English book is about a dream
school but the first chapter of science book is about biodiversity.
iv) Unit-1 of English book has 7 pages while unit- 1 of
Science book has 10 pages.
v) The content of English book unit-1 describes the
comparison between urban and rural school environments but the content of
science book unit-1 describes biodiversity and conservation.
