A Tea Stall - paragraph * Grade six to ten

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent

                  A Tea Stall

A tea stall is a small eating place where prepared tea is served to the customers. Besides tea, light refreshments like biscuits, cakes, loafs, bananas, betel leaf etc. are also sold here. Tea stalls are found everywhere these days: in market places, at street corners, railway or bus stations, launch terminals, near offices, mills, factories, educational institutions and even in villages. A tea stall has some tables and chairs or benches and cash counter. There is often a boy or two to serve tea to the customers. The manager sits behind the cash box and collects the bills from the customers. Basically, a tea stall in our country is neither gorgeous nor luxurious. Actually it is often a small meeting place of people who want to refresh themselves or gossip over a cup of tea. People come here and discuss various subjects. They generally talk about personal affairs, social problems, village politics, national and international politics and current affairs freely.  In some tea stalls, a newspaper is kept. So, many people get an opportunity to read it and know various current issues of home and abroad. Thus a tea stall becomes a noisy and busy place from morning till late night. As almost all walks of people visit it, a tea stall occupies a significant place in our day to day life.

A Rainy Day- Paragraph

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent

A Rainy Day

A day with day-long raining or drizzling frequently in the rainy season or in other seasons is called a rainy day. On a rainy day it rains cats and dogs and there is any hardly let up in rain. In Bangladesh a rainy day is welcomed after the scorching heat of summer. The sky remains cloudy and the weather becomes gloomy and damp in a rainy day. A subtle darkness appears there as the sun is barely seen in the midst of raining but sometimes the sun peeps through the black clouds. Normal life is disrupted also. People become bored being confined in house. Often water stands here and there on the roads and they become muddy and slippery. People who have to go outside or go to office or their workplace should carry an umbrella with them and move along with shoes in hand and clothes folded. But a rainy day is very enjoyable to the school going students because they usually don’t go to school and that’s why the presence of the students of different institutions seems very thin. The children are seen to bathe in rain water with merriment. However a rainy day is multidimensional. To somebody it is very mesmerizing,  charming and to others like day labourers, poor villagers and service holders it is not totally enjoyable. Sometimes, they can’t go for work owing to excessive rain. To speak the truth, a rainy day has both enjoyment and suffering. But in the context of our country, it brings about disadvantages for the common people rather than pleasure.
